What I learned from Strip Clubs

People hear the phrase “strip club” and the words dirty, nasty, sluts, and many other negatives come to mind. But unfortunately most of those people have never even been inside a real strip club.

Now trust me, there are some out there where you can get some pretty high mileage for the right price, but honestly those aren’t the norm.

I have been to my share of regular clubs and my share of strip clubs, and too many people’s surprise, you can find more girls acting like “sluts” at normal dance clubs then you will at the strip club.

There are 3 types of people that go to strip clubs:

  • The drinkers who just want to drink and hang out with their friends.
  • The horny people who are tired of looking at boobs on the internet and want to see the real thing.
  • And the lonely people; those who are, for what ever reason, just lonely and want someone to talk to and listen to them.

Surprisingly enough, the majority of the people that go fall under the 1st and 3rd categories. The drinkers are there just to have a good time, not to pick up on girls, not to start trouble or get in any fights. Just there to spend money on the girls and the bar, thus everyone ends up happy.

The lonely people could be anyone. And trust me you would be surprised who you find in there: teachers, business owners, doctors, city officials, the wealthy and the poor. Sure on the outside at work these people may seem to have everything going for them, but at home they may have no one to talk to. Maybe they were too busy making their careers and never found time for friends, a girlfriend or a wife? Perhaps their wife has passed on and they feel empty inside. Maybe they just need someone to talk to who won’t judge them.

What ever the case is, a stripper’s role is not as easy as it may seem. I good friend of mine who used to be a dancer put it to me like this:

a strippers role has to be one of an entertainer, a therapist, a seductress and a friend. She must be able to read her customer and adapt to a new situation at a moments notice. She has to be able to carry on an educated conversation with one, play the clown or ‘air head’ with another, play the sympathy card for someone else and still be able to keep her mind straight and stay professional, all while looking great and being nude.”

Now how many of us have to deal with that at your normal 9 to 5 job??

Remember, a good portion of these women are actually in school, studying to be our lawyers, doctors, teachers and other roles in well respected occupations. Some of us just weren’t lucky enough to be given a free ride in life, so we have to work for it. So until you dance a set in their heels, think twice before you say something negative about them; that stripper might end up being the Doctor that saves your life someday.
