I had a breast lift and augmentation with Dr. Miriam Awada in michgan. A true nightmare, she gave me breasts that were five time bigger then what I asked for, i became very ill after my surgery. I left her office in tears and she never even bothered to call me.

is lasik safe? i’m doing some research for lasik eye surgery before i get it done – and i need to get it done soon. the headaches are bogging me down on my on-location shoots – i’m a photographer by trade and just wanted to get some tips that i need to know before i go to my appointment with my specialist this thursday. any feedback is much appreciated.

Butterfly, that sounds horrible! Yes, definitely do a lot of research. In addition to what’s mentioned already, I would suggest finding someone who is board-certified using http://www.abms.org or trustedsurgeons.com. Also know what you want before seeing the doctor and research the procedures out thoroughly on your own as well.

Yes, definitely do thorough research prior to plastic surgery. Here is a synopsis of my own experience: a cheek implant with a Dr. Bryant Toth in San Francisco. Poor placement resulted in implant shift and assymetry, as well as infection from poor techniques (quoted from another surgeon who later fixed the issue). Do not buy into any plastic surgeon, because a lot of them are like used car salesman and will try to sell themselves even when they have very little training or experience in certain procedures. I suffered because of this, so do a lot of research.

Discussing your concerns with other people who are also interested in plastic surgery, cosmetic surgery, or facial rejuvenation is a great resource to check out! Of course, meeting with a qualified doctor is important when it comes to gettin’ the nitty-gritty, but chatting with others who have the same interest can be very comforting.
