Pixie of LA Ink

Pixie from LA Ink

Pixie of LA Ink

Pixie, the perky and colorfully tattoo sporting shop manager at LA Ink loves to surround herself with bright, colorful, “yummy” things.

One only needs to look at the elaborate, colorful tattoos of cupcakes, a sleeve full of Care Bears and other assorted “happy” images that adorn her body and you can tell she is a carefree fun loving happy spirit. Not to mention the intense body modifications such as her facial piercings and her split serpent tongue, Pixie is one hell of an interesting person.

Before moving to LA four years ago, Pixie was a body piercer at various shops around the country. These days, when not working at the shop she is a freelance make up artist.

Fun Facts about Pixie

  • Pixie is a former Fear Factor game show winner
  • She is a Pescatarian which means she is a vegetarian but she does eat fish
  • Pixie loves animals and lives in Los Angeles with her two pitbulls, Cup Cake and Chopper, and her cat, Monkey.
  • She loves all types of music from rock, rap, metal, salsa and reggae but no country.Pixie enjoys bands like Morphine, Queens of the Stone Age, Portishead and White Stripes just to name a few.
  • Some of Pixies favorite movies are Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Resevoir Dogs, Donnie Darko, Roger Rabbit, Space Balls, Fight Club, American History X, The Usual Suspects.

When asked what were her first thoughts when TLC approached her about being on LA INK, Pixie said she at first didn’t think it was going to happen because, you know this is Hollywood. Followed by, “Reality? What are people going to say about us when its reality?” My sensitive heart takes criticism way too personal. I hope people will be kind in their words. That’s really it. Now I’m super super excited!

Who’s more Sexy, Jessica Alba in a bikini or Jessica Biel

There seems to be a new battle going on in the celebrity sex symbol world and that would be who is more sexy in a bikini, Jessica Alba or Jessica Biel? I’m not sure exactly where this comparison came from considering they both have nothing in common to be compared to other then being celebrities.

Now I’m not saying that they are not sexy in their own ways. Jessica Alba has that cute petite girl next door look to her while Jessica Biel has that attractive ‘tom boy’ down the street look. But put them in a bikini and the and it’s an all out sex symbol battle! So check the pictures below as some examples and be sure to click the the links to see full size versions of the pictures and then cast your vote below.

Kat Von D and L.A. Ink Season Premier

August 8th, 2007 Randy Posted in Celebrities, Reality TV, Sex 2 Comments »

It’s a Rocky Start for Kat Von D and L.A. Ink

Kat Von D is back in Los Angeles to open her new shop but unfortunately things aren’t going as well as she hoped for in the season premier of L.A. Ink.

Staff of High Voltage Tattoo on LA InkAfter finding the perfect location for her studio High Voltage Tattoo at 1259 n. La Brea Avenue, West Hollywood in California; and the urge to start tattooing her fellow Los Angelenos, Kat Von D realizes running her studio isn’t going to be all fun and games.

With construction underway, Kat is off to find her perfect dream team of tattoo artists to help her fulfill her dream of the perfect Los Angeles Tattoo studio.

The Staff of LA Ink

Kat finds her self off to Chicago on a recruiting mission to grab two very talented tattoo artists; Kim and Hannah with hopes of stealing them away to work with her at L.A. Ink. Kat has a vision of running a full female staff which is sure to bring in all the women looking for fresh ink in a traditionally male dominated world. And let’s not forget all the male clients who I’m sure wouldn’t mind watching these beautiful women work their magic.

As an added bonus Kat Von D shows off her skills by finding the time to tattoo the Los Angeles sky line on the arm of Lauren from Pride Clothing, a local Los Angeles clothing line who’s motto is Show Some Pride, Pride Clothing.

With Kim and Hannah agreeing to go work with Kat out in Los Angeles, and Pixie already signed on to be the shop manager, Kat feels that a little bit of testosterone might just be a good thing to help keep things in check. So shes of to the city of Upland, located just about an hour away in the Inland Empire to grab her friend Corey Miller of Six Feet Under Tattoo Parlor to join the ranks of L.A. Ink. With some hesitation, Corey ultimately agrees and Kat Von D’s Dream Team is up and running…but she can’t say the same for the shop it’s self.

So with a client list of celebrities and appointments to keep and staff of tattoo artists ready to ink but no place to work and, things aren’t looking too good for Kat Von D and the staff of High Voltage Tattoo on this first episode of L.A. Ink.

Kathy Griffin or Kathy Lee

July 28th, 2007 Randy Posted in Celebrities, Life, Reality TV No Comments »

Kathy Griffin or Kathy Lee

So I’m bored, its Saturday and I’m at home watching the Kathy Griffin reality TV show on Bravo show Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List. Ya ya so I watch this from time to time, anyway its this episode where she was trying to be the “Red Headed Oprah” where she went out and gave $200 to women out in Los Angeles who “look like they need it”.

Now first of all this is a nice thing to do but such a no so P.C. way of going about it. But then also Kathy Griffin made a true point. If this was Oprah just randomly giving money out to women on the street every news crew and top magazine would be there but because no one cares about Kathy then no one is there.

This Star Isn’t That Bright

Amazingly a reporter from The Star shows up, who obviously didn’t do her research because the whole time she kept referring to Kathy Griffin as Kathy Lee. How she was such a big fan of Kathy Lee and all this other BS. She didn’t even have a camera that worked with her.

This sure doesn’t show well for The Star magazine at all if their reporters don’t know the difference between which celebrity is who out here in Hollywood! Or maybe it just shows how unimportant The Star Magazine considers Kathy Griffin, who knows.

Anyway i guess my point is that it’s pretty sad that just because someone like Kathy Griffin isn’t that famous no one seems to care when she goes out and does something nice for people; even if she was doing it for publicity, it was still a kind gesture on her part. Sucks how in this world people only take notice if your a celebrity.

February 27th, 2007 Randy Posted in Celebrities, Home, Polls, Sex 6 Comments »

So here is a survey, just for fun to see how many of you would want Tiffany Pollard aka New York from VH1’s show “I Love New York” to pose in “certain types of magazines” that leave nothing to the imagination such a a popular “Bunny magazine” or some other magazine like FHM or Maxim? Tiffany Pollard has made her self a household name thanks to Flava Flav and VH1 so why not have her pose? According to the comments below it sure looks like the majority wants to see more pictures of her, even though people don’t always like her everyone wants to see her in magazines. This chick sure knows how to market herself.

Who knows, maybe enough votes will come in and the magazines will pay attention.

I Love New York

January 30th, 2007 Randy Posted in Celebrities, Home 5 Comments »

The VH1 hit show, I Love New York is just one of those shows you either like or you don’t.
The star of the show Tiffany Pollard (known as “New York”) rose to fame by being the actuall looser of a simular
relaity show also on VH1 called the Flavor of Love.

A quick run down of the show.
New York (Pollard) is looking for true love and what better way to do that then have 20 guys fight and lie for her attention.
She puts them through lil missions and eliminates them afew at a time in hopes of finding true love.

Surviving Cast after episode 4 includes:

Chance, 12 Pack, Real, Whiteboy, Tango, Rico and Mr Boston.

A little episode trivia:

  • Wood (episode one) has been on four other reality television shows before I Love New York, such as Mr. Romance on Oxygen on which he was the winner. He admitted to being on four “on-camera love moments” including Elimidate. Also pictures of Wood posing nude have been traveling around the web.
  • T-Money has appeared on MTV’s Dating show Next (TV series). However, New York eliminated him before she ever found out.
  • Tiffany Pollard does not own the I Love New York house. The house was built and made especially for the show. However, after the show she was able to keep it. Just like Flavor Flav with “his” mansion, when in reality it is not. It is believed that Flav did not keep the mansion.
  • T-Weed is Kevin Watson, an experienced actor whose has appeared in many films such as Original Gangsters and The Pink Panther.
  • Heat is Jason Rosell, who is an actor whos appeared on Gilmore Girls and has also been in movies.

The “N” word let’s join the controversy

December 2nd, 2006 Randy Posted in Celebrities, Entertainment, Home 4 Comments »

With everything that has happened in the past couple weeks regarding the Michael Richards “KKKramer” incident, I just have to throw in my 2¢ about this.

First off, if you haven’t seen the video here it is

01:55

In no way am I agreeing with the actions of anyone involved in this incident but lets take a non-bias look at this:

I. We only see from when he started his rant; we don’t get to see all the heckling from the audience members that led up to this. This video, like every other video of racial attacks that make it to the public is edited, we don’t get to see the whole thing from start to finish.

II. Watch the video, you see that the same very people who were so “offended” by his use of racial words resort to playing the exact same race card themselves, using racial attacks right back at him but their use of the words are totally acceptable, even if they are using it with the same intentions. Since when does someone have to be a member of a certain race to be allowed to use certain words of the English Language? Hatred is hatred; it shouldn’t be justified by the color of your skin.

III. This is clearly an ego battle between a comedian on stage working and hecklers disrespecting him by talking throughout his standup. If anyone has been to the laugh factory you know it’s not a big auditorium but rather it’s a small personal venue where you are literally just feet away from the talent. Anything you say is heard.

IV. Where’s the video’s of Chris Rock, Dave Chapelle and every other black comedian spewing racial slurs about Whites, Mexicans and even Blacks. Turn on BET or Comedy Central and see how many times you hear the words “Whitey”, “Cracka”, “Whitebred”, “SnowFlake”, Nigga or Nigger and many other popular racial slurs that are allowed on National Television. Or watch the “Kings of Comedy” or the “Queens of Comedy”. We can listen to any Hip-Hop album or Rap album and hear it used more times then you can count and used in the same negative content.

Unfortunately, the “N” word is never going to go away. Its meaning and use will always be there, just replaced with a different word, such as Nigga, Nucka, Nizzle, Spick, Wetback, Kyke, Wop, Cracka, or any other word you can tag onto having a negative meaning.

Funny how in spite of all the hatred, abuse, rapes, murders, separations of family, death of a culture, disrespect, humiliation and other crimes against humanity over the past 100 plus years, it’s a 2 minute rant from an angry comedian that has made people stand up and take notice that we might want to stop using racial slurs and show mutual respect for one another.
