Kathy Griffin or Kathy Lee

So I’m bored, its Saturday and I’m at home watching the Kathy Griffin reality TV show on Bravo show Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List. Ya ya so I watch this from time to time, anyway its this episode where she was trying to be the “Red Headed Oprah” where she went out and gave $200 to women out in Los Angeles who “look like they need it”.

Now first of all this is a nice thing to do but such a no so P.C. way of going about it. But then also Kathy Griffin made a true point. If this was Oprah just randomly giving money out to women on the street every news crew and top magazine would be there but because no one cares about Kathy then no one is there.

This Star Isn’t That Bright

Amazingly a reporter from The Star shows up, who obviously didn’t do her research because the whole time she kept referring to Kathy Griffin as Kathy Lee. How she was such a big fan of Kathy Lee and all this other BS. She didn’t even have a camera that worked with her.

This sure doesn’t show well for The Star magazine at all if their reporters don’t know the difference between which celebrity is who out here in Hollywood! Or maybe it just shows how unimportant The Star Magazine considers Kathy Griffin, who knows.

Anyway i guess my point is that it’s pretty sad that just because someone like Kathy Griffin isn’t that famous no one seems to care when she goes out and does something nice for people; even if she was doing it for publicity, it was still a kind gesture on her part. Sucks how in this world people only take notice if your a celebrity.

It’s no surprise that Amber is my favorite of all the SIK Girls. Why you may ask? Wel for one just freaking look at the girl, shes BEAUTIFUL!!!
Not to mention the fact that she really is a down to Earth person who honestly cares about people and doesn’t take her self and modeling too seriously.

I met Amber a couple years ago and we have been friends ever since. And this brings me to the point of this pointless blog I have lol.

I Miss Rancho Cucamonga

I never realized how much I actually miss living in Rancho Cucamonga, California. Even though I only lived there for two years, the damn place actually grew on me lol. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not like it’s such a bad place to live that it’s a surprise I miss it; it’s just I never figured I would have actually liked living there.

I grew up in the Inland Empire part of Southern California. For those who don’t know the area it’s the cities inside of San Bernardino County and Riverside County. And trust me these are not the most “attractive” cities to grow up in. But Rancho Cucamonga was always known as the upper class, nice even rich city. And growing up in the San Bernardino and Redlands area, with Rancho only being about 30 min away, it seemed like an entirely different world!

Prices

If you’re considering living in Rancho, then there are some things you should know. First off, it’s not cheap. Let me put it this way, it’s known as the Orange County of the Inland Empire, so be ready to pay more in rent here then you would in any of the other surrounding cities. Secondly, the price is worth it.

The city is very clean and taken care of and it reflects in its businesses. Thats one of the main things i miss actually. After moving, i noticed how dirty the place im living now is, and how rude most of the employees at the fast food joints all are. In Rancho I never had that problem.
The houses range from very nice to extremely expensive, up around the million dollar mark! The apartments can be anywhere from $1000 for a one bedroom up to $3000 plus for a two bedroom or more. But again, so worth it. The rooms are normally a very decent size, and the apartment grounds are all kept nice alongwith their weight rooms, pools and club houses.

Entertainment in Rancho Cucamonga

Other then the living situation, everything that you need is in this city. A great shopping malls like the Ontario Mills with their Edwards and AMC multi-theaters to the beautiful outside shopping mall Victoria Gardens. And don’t forget the restaurants like The Yard House, California Pizza kitchen, Omokase Sushi and any other ones you can think of.

Man now that I think about it I miss living in Rancho Cucamonga more and more. After my lease is up at this place I’m gonna have to start looking back into moving that direction again.

I’ve hung out with the crew of Lush Clothing at quite a few clubs and bars in the Inland Empire area of Southern California for a while now and I have to say, these guys know how to have a good time. DJ DFib can also be found every Wednesday night cranking out the best in Hip Hop, Funk, Reggae and House at Margarita Beach in San Bernardino.

So last night I decided to go check out this local DJ named DFib perform at Margarita Beach in San Bernardino. I’ve heard of him for a while and knew that he has performed in Bars in local cities such as Redlands, Grand Terrace, San Bernardino and Fullerton. So I figured I would go see what the buzz was about.

I go to Margarita Beach in San Bernardino at least once a week. Considering there aren’t that many cool places to go here in the Inland Empire, I was ready for an average night. Much to my surprise, DFib’s set was pretty damn good.

The music was loud but not to the point where it was painful to the ears. The transitions while mixing the songs were smooth and totally on beat with each other to the point where the music sounded like one continuous song; which is what you want to hear while out on the floor dancing.

DFib gave off an attitude of assurance in himself and his skills which showed by his solid choice in music with genres ranging from 80’s, and Hip Hop, to Funk, Reggae, some House and everything in between. The risks he took in mixing songs that you would never think would work was totally on point and his lack of using the mic to promote himself; which to me is the most annoying thing to hear at a club, ( such as the never ending repeating of the DJ’s name by the DJ himself ), showed that DFib is a professional DJ.

The only complaint I had was the time slot that Margarita Beach gave DFib to play, 7:30pm to 9:30pm, which sucks. Margarita Beach never gets popping till at least after 10 pm so I have no doubt that if DFib was spinning during the later hours the bar would be packed.

It was a nice change of music at Margarita Beach in San Bernardino and I hope to hear DFib play there again. I’ll be keeping an ear out for him and be sure to spread the word on this new up and coming DJ.

There seems to be a never ending debate on the internet between one way links,
reciprocal links and three way links and which type of link is better for Search
Engine Optimization and your website. Well here is a simple breakdown about what
type of link each one is and how they can effect your search engine rankings in Google, Yahoo or MSN.

What is a One way Link?

A one way link is a simple link from one website to the other. For example, if
you link to http://blog.ienhance.com and that page doesn’t link back to your
website then it’s a one way link from your site to their site.

What are Reciprocal Links?

A Reciprocal Link is when you link to a website and that website links back to
your website. You are able to send visitors from your website to theirs and
visitors from their website are able to come to your site. This is one of the
more common linking partners on the internet.

What are three-way links?

Unfortunately some search engines and webmasters feel that Reciprocal Links aren’t
worth much when it comes to search engine rankings. In fact some search engines
devalue them completely because they feel it could be considered a linking scam
where friends are just linking to each other, not with any real value.

Because of this 3 way links are being used. For example: Website A links to
website B, website B links to website C, website C links to website A. This way,
everyone gets a link back to them and its not from the same site they linked to
in the first place.

Which links will help you to get higher search engine rankings?

Honestly search engine rankings are not determined by the type of link you use to link out to a site, but more by how many In Bound Links (IBL’s) you have pointing to your site.

It’s very important to remember that the links to your website should be from
related sites and that are on topic with your site. If the site that is linking
to your site sales Viagra and you sale Designer Denim Jeans, then that link to
your site wont hold much value. Never mind whether it is a one way, reciprocal or a three way link.

The fact of the matter is if a link is one way, reciprocal or three way, it
doesn’t matter if the link is on a non-related website. The only thing that will
help raise your search engine rankings are in bound links from high quality
websites that are related to your website.

Todays post is just going to be a nice and quick one about Absolute and Relative Links. While sitting at work today I had the “oh so fun” experience of trying to explain to a client why we do things a certain way. Normally this is a daily part of the job and not much of an issue. But this client just happens to be one that took it upon himself to learn some SEO tactics and only did a half-ass job doing it and now thinks he knows everything.

There are few things more frustrating then a client who only has a little knowledge and tries to pretend that they are an SEO Guru.

So I proceed to try and explain the differences between Absolute Links and Relative Links and why we use what we use. Funny thing about website links, there are a few different ways to code them and they all are correct. But in some cases it might be better to use one over the other. And thats when I realized that maybe some people don’t actually understand the difference between the two, so here we go.

Type Of Links

There are basically two types of links, they are:

• Fully Qualified Links also known as Absolute Links are links which the path is created whenever your link uses the full URL of an page. For example, http://www.yourwebsitehere.com is an absolute path to a specific web site. This method is the best choice to use because it will never result in a broken link unless you type in wrong from the start, so always check your links. This is also what you want to use if you are sending anyone to another site. Some people will tell you that it is not needed to use internally on your site but from my experience, not using absolute links for example in your navigation bars can cause a great deal of errors from spiders when the crawl your site. It’s better to be safe then sorry.
• Relational or Relative Links are used much more often than absolute paths and look like this <img src=”../images/title.gif”> The .. in front basically means move up one level in the directory. So you don’t have to write the full path. Any time you need to send a person from one part of your site to another a relative link is ok to use but I would still use a fully qualified link just to be safe. But if you wand to include an object from your site such as an image on one of your pages a relative link will work just fine.

Well I hope that was enough to help you understand the difference between Absolute and Relative links. It really is more of a personal preference for the way you link on your site. Just remember its always better to be safe and take the extra few seconds to code the link correctly so that way you ensure your links will always work.
